The rock band Guns N’ Roses has announced that they have postponed their concert scheduled for September 9 in St. Louis, Missouri, due to illness. The band did not specify which member was sick, but fans speculated that it might be the lead singer Axl Rose, who had vocal problems at a previous show in New York.
The band posted a message on their social media accounts on Friday night, saying: “Gunners, the concert scheduled for St. Louis on September 9 has been postponed due to illness. Hang on to your tickets – fans who are unable to make the rescheduled date will be eligible for a refund. Thank you for the support.”
The postponement comes as a disappointment for many fans who were looking forward to seeing the band perform in St. Louis, a city that has a history of conflict with Guns N’ Roses. In 1991, a riot broke out at the Riverport Amphitheater after Rose jumped into the crowd to confront a fan who was taking photos of him. The incident resulted in Rose facing criminal charges and the band avoiding the city for 26 years. They finally returned in 2017 and played at the Busch Stadium, the same venue where they were supposed to perform on Saturday.

The band has not announced a new date for the St. Louis concert yet, but they are expected to resume their tour on Tuesday, September 12, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The tour will continue until October 16, with stops at various stadiums and festivals across North America. The band has also released three new songs this year: “Absurd”, “Hard Skool”, and “Perhaps”, which are reportedly from the long-awaited follow-up to their 2008 album Chinese Democracy.
